Eugene Png: I AM LOVED
“My girlfriend gave me the will to live.”
Ex-Swimmer. Swimming Coach. Suffered from Muscle Dystrophy.
Story of Strength. Love.
"I'm very fine to be wheel-chaired bound”
So Eugene was the 2nd differently-abled suffering from muscle dystropy whom i have interviewed. And also a very happy-go-lucky chap. Throughout my conversation exchange with him, there wasn't any grouses that his mobility will be restricted for the rest of his life.
"I' very fine to be wheel-chaired bound, i can be very mobile, i can go anywhere i want", exclaimed the ex-swimmer who later became a swimming coach, who gave up coaching about a year ago when the condition deteriorated. "I can't teach now because i cannot control my movement."
"I was about to get married, then i slipped into depression when i learnt that i can't teach swimming anymore, and during that same time, my eczema flared up as well. I'm very grateful for my girlfriend of 10 years, gave me the courage and the will to live".
"I'm happy. And blessed by the support and love showered upon me".
