My motto: Doing something is better than doing nothing.
Talking with our migrant friends about the simple things makes me realise that we are all human at the end of the day, doesn't matter what's the background, when we come together it's nice to know their stories and how keen they are to share. They don't have the opportunity to share their everyday lives because they do a lot of these invisible jobs that we don't really see. I hope in the future the society can hone on that sense of being human, establish genuine connection that helps to guide us to build a more inclusive society for people of all works of life to set aside any preconceptions or prejudices, and come together to form a community.
"TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH"
For Singaporean society to remember where we came from — the good old kampung days where everyone looked out for each other
DO YOU SEE ME ?
Elly PS: Write me a note. Share my story - let's bring back our kampung spirit.
